Fomer Assistant Public Defender Gets Eleven Months in the Slammer

Yesterday, former Ecambia County assistant public defender Ron Davis pled guilty to DUI and possession of a controlled substance and Judge Jan Shackelford sentenced him to 11 months in county jail.

Last April, Davis was caught with cocaine, pain pills and a crack pipe when he was pulled over by Escambia County deputies. He was also high on drugs.

Davis will only serve four months in jail because he's already been in the pokey for seven months.

I wonder what Davis will do when he gets out of jail? You know he won't be practicing law.
